Ahina Yoga
(0)

My name is Kelly Hickler and I am a registered yoga teacher (RYT 200) with Yoga Alliance.

Ahina is a Sanskrit word that means unimpaired, whole, entire, full, not deprived of, not defective or inferior, excellent.

Yoga is not just a form of exercise, but a way of living. It reminds us that we are whole as we are; everything we need in life already exists within us. We are not broken, we are not defective or inferior, we don't need to be fixed.

My goal is for you to realize that you are whole just the way you are and to help you reconnect with your authentic self through the practice of yoga.

"Holistic yoga" is a bit of a redundant term, because yoga already is a holistic approach to living. Unfortunately, the term yoga has come to be associated mostly with the physical poses only. The physical poses, or asanas, represent only one limb of the eight limbs that make up the practice of yoga. I hope to help introduce you to the other seven limbs and encourage you to live out your yoga practice off the mat.
